Tell me, how do you ‘learn photoshop’ by making glossy buttons ?
@ Jacky. The same way you learn anything through application. By actually doing it. Some folks learn through auditory stimulation, some through visual, and some through practical application. The button process takes the user through some of the programs basic functions helping the newer users to some elements and operations they may be unfamiliar with.
Hope that answered your ‘question’.
Thanks for including one of my tuts. Nice list!

@ adelaide designs and Jackie, You’re very welcome. And thank you for the comments.
@ Ant, damn, you caught us! Very clever, indeed. Score: Ant-1 Arbenting-0. But this isn’t over, Ant! Mark my words, this battle may be over, but the war wages on, my friend. The war wages on…
This is very helpful — thanks so much. Just learned levels which I had been using incorrectly.

@River Girl — I’m glad you found it helpful. As a self taught Photoshop user I often learn that I’m not using a feature to it’s fullest potential.
@Janko — Thanks man, I’m glad you liked it! We’re having a ball with the blog so I don’t see slowing down anytime soon!

Superb collection of tutorial — very informative for beginners
If it were possible, I would hug, high-five, butt-slap, snuggle, kiss, fondle, frisk, stalk, body paint, pray for, cuddle, pinch the cheeks of, by a drink/meal/lap dance for, and vote as President, Vice President, and Universal Presidential-Type-People.….the person or persons responsible for these tutorials.
Seriously, you rock my little rainbow corner of the world! I have learned so much from the first Photoshop tutorial that it’s almost disgraceful how very little I knew to start with! Since the economy’s gone to sh*t, I’ve decided to actually LEARN something whilst waiting for someone to hire me! And even though I was featured in an article on CNNMoney, my 15 seconds of fame have yet to materialize. So I decided to go through your tutorials…starting with Photoshop. And I’m stunned. How in the h e double hockey sticks did I live without the Magnetic Lasso Tool?????!!?????
You are indeed the macros to my media. And I heart you. Even though you don’t know me.
nice helpful tutorials.. thanks for the list
