Directory for Designers

After a couple months of planning, a month and a half of developing and testing, and a couple of anxious days doing some final tweaks, our Directory for Designers is running live! This social media networking hub will hopefully act to consolidate designer information from the various places we gather online and make it easier to find and follow the community through the maze of media networks. A central search point for designers at the cyberspace haunts that we use to share, promote, and inform the community at large.

The Social Media Directory for Designers is only as useful as the community makes it, so we hope that everyone will be as excited about it as we are. To see what all the fuss is about, head that way, and fill in the different directories for the social media networks that you belong to.

Thanks Brad, we thought it would be an asset to the community. It’s something that I’ve wished were out there in the past so a couple of months ago I just decided to start building it myself lol.

Thanks, Max. We’re really excited, too. In fact, we haven’t slept yet, and don’t see it on the immediate horizon now. We probably should have been patient enough to sleep first and launch later. :p

Nice work! Can users add tags or any type of meta that is query able? Or is it just a large list of users? Can you sort by name or anything?

@Matt - Thanks! Everything in the main comment box is searchable. You can search for a specific name but you can’t sort (yet). When you search you’ll get a list of directories where that person has submitted.

Did that all make sense? I’m running on no sleep. lol
