For Blog Action Day 08, Arbenting did a post to promote awareness for this year’s cause, Poverty. The article was ’Starving Artists’ Unite To Fight True Poverty, and in it, we vowed to keep the fight going for a whole year. Doing what we could to continue waking people up from their apathetic slumber, which has actually contributed to this problem. So we dedicated a year, one post a month!

We set out on this journey several months ago, and as we’ve grown, we’ve, well…grown. With the last site revamp we felt that we had progressed, but we knew when it was completed, that we were happy but not branded. And we were sort of okay with that. We were still young enough that we felt we still had some time to find a fit. And by ’we were still young enough’ we mean the blog. But it seems what we thought would be happening in a slow aging kind …

Elite by Design, that is. It’s really the only way we figured that we would get to call ourselves ’elite’, so we jumped at the chance to work with Brian at Elite By Design. So as we have done in the past, we struck out to do some more guest blogging and came up with an artist showcase featuring David Fuhrer. He’s an amazingly talented graphic artist, and you really should check out his site and the article of course, Artist Fervor - A David Fuhrer Showcase.

…for a day. Angie has gotten a really bad bug that has kept her out of commission all day. As a result, we are postponing the next Inspiration in Color piece until Saturday. We will have another post for later on today, but not the expected one. Sorry for the delays, but we promise to back on track in a day. Thanks for the support!

That’s right. Arbenting now has a Community News section of the blog, so that users can help spread whatever words they’ve got to offer. We’ve been wanting to do this for a while, given that we make extensive use of said service on other blogs, and we wanted to help with an outlet of our own. To give a little back, so to speak. The Arbenting duo have struck again, with another guest blog post. This time we’re on Design Shard. Once again, Arbenting has gone and done a guest blog post over at My Ink Blog, and we thought we’d drop a note about it here for those who’d like to check it out. Well we just had our second article published with Smashing Magazine, and we’re elated to continue working with them. It was a bit disappointing to see the article change from the original draft we sent in, as some of my favorites were removed and some that I don’t like as much were put in. We sent in 50 Phenomenal Fractal Art Renders, and they tuned it down to 40. I understand that happens, it was just sad for those I didn’t get to see included…but yay for those that did! …
