We happened on a site the other day thanks to our tweep, @dzovan, and we immediately knew we had to write up a review to tell our readers about this really cool, did we mention free, service from Iconza! Iconza is a great new tool for designers and developers created by the folks over at Turbomilk, which allows you to quickly and easily customize a set of icons for your designs.

Iconza provides you with a clean, basic set of icons for your website design that you set to whatever color and size you need. I decided to make a set to match the color scheme of Arbenting to help highlight how easy the tool is to use.
Color
First, choose the color you want the icons to be, I am using my Arbenting Maroon, but again, the choices are virtually limitless. To set this, you simply click on the color box and either manually set it or just enter the hex code for the hue you wish to use.

Size
Now it is time for you to decide what size icons would work best for your site or project. While you are a bit more limited here than you are in choosing your colors (like seriously), you do have at least three different size options to choose from.
32x32

24x24

16x16

Background
Adding a background color is optional since you will be downloading transparent pngs, but it can still be helpful if you are not quite sure what color you want to go with for your icons and you need a visual aid to help you choose. Once again, you simply click on the color box and either manually choose the background color or enter a hex code.

Download
Once you have your icons exactly the way you want them, you can either download the entire set by clicking the corresponding ‘Download all Icons’ button or choose individual icons by clicking on only those you wish to download.

Unzip
If you downloaded the entire set, unzip the file and you will have a folder with all 70 individual pngs ready for easy inclusion in whatever project you were working on. It’s as simple as that!

What a great way to customize icons to the look and feel of your blog. It is only too bad that they don’t offer social media icons as well.
Heathers last blog post..Wall-E and EVE
@Heather — I agree, some social media icons would be a great addition.
Hint, hint Iconza developers :D
Great for bloggers, but I feel graphic designers shouldn’t get lazy and start using these kind of tools.
