7 More Sites Strictly for Web Developers
Okay, so after that snafu we had with the first go-round, we thought we would try and make it up to those developers who were a bit let down by the 7 Websites No Website Developer Should Be Without article that we put together, which may not have been as developer oriented as we had led people to believe. Though we are trying to repair the breach and so we’ve gone compiling once more for this new list of sites that we are more confident developers will appreciate.
So with previous apologies, here’s 7 more sites, this time strictly geared toward the development side of things.

As far as resources go, you can’t go wrong with, or get much better than The Web Builder Zone (and DZone in general). The active and dynamic community there alone is worth a click, but we are sure that you will find so much more to keep you coming back again, and again. Discover for yourself the dazzle of the Zone!
2. Got API

If you are not quite sure what an API is, you might just be over your head if you dive into this expansive reference database for pretty much any API (or Application Programming Interface) you can think of. Got API puts the information you need at your fingertips with an extremely user friendly interface complete with handy searching capabilities. This site is hands down a must bookmark for developers in any field.

Though they may be on hiatus right now, we just couldn’t make this list complete without including 456 Berea Street. This site is an invaluable collection of insightful and highly regarded articles across field topics such as web standards, accessibility and usability. Not to mention the noteworthy current news (when they’re not out) from within the development industry.

Warp Speed is right. For a website that has only been around for a few months, this force of web nature has already amassed a most impressive collection of topical articles. A collection that is both informative, and ever-growing! At this rate, Janko will surely keep expanding by great leaps and bounds, so you’d better get there quick, or you may never be able to catch up!

Love em, hate em or something in between, Google is an inevitable necessity for the web developer (or according to some internet users, the only site you ever need). So many necessary services for developers all together in one easy to navigate place. Whether it’s fighting with page rank, or search engine optimization, or looking for analytics, or webmaster tools, whatever the task it is that you are facing, Google can help.
6. CSS Globe

Looking for information about CSS? Then look no further. CSS Globe is the most comprehensive collection of CSS articles on the web today. So much critical and helpful information in their articles, as well up to date news from the CSS community, all in one comfortable, sleek environment.
7. Dev.Opera

And the pinnacle of the list, is certainly Dev.Opera. So much wonderful material enriching and stimulating the development field. This site is, in itself, a community, and moreover a community resource site where developers can come together and share tips, tricks of the trade, extensions and more. Every developer owes it to themselves to check out this fantastic addition to the developer droves!
So that’s the list. Again, hopefully this will make up for what the first one lacked. Anyway, thanks for sticking with us, we have more on the way, including some mega resource lists, free texture packs, and much more!
And as always, let us know what you would have added to the list!

@Lowell - Thank you for the feedback. That’s actually something I’ve been going back and forth on. I thought that since it was paper, the seams might work but now that someone has expressed a dislike, I’ve decided to revisit the textures.
@Hiveminds - w3 schools was actually on the first list which is why it wasn’t included here. I’ve never been to your site, I’m on my way now to check it out. Thanks for the recommendations!
